Been awhile since I have upurg dated this blog.  Not a lot going on around here out of the ordinary to report on.  Slower time of year.

Added a couple of new items the last few days.  One is a larger scale, the My Weigh Ultraship 75.  The detachable face is what sold me on this one.  Looked at two others but with the anticipated size of the animals weighed on this the faceplate that you can position out of the way and read is definitely a plus.  Nice scale, and with the capacity of 75 lbs it will cover most of the larger sized “medium” animals.  Put your weighing box on the scale and zero it, Lock up your animal in a box, Put it on the scale and you are set.  Doesn’t get a lot easier than that.

Next is HatchRIte incubation medium.  Neat product, tried some out a year+ ago and have to admit I had some reservations on it.  Expected it to have a shelf life and dry out, etc.  Well, after trying it on a few clutches last season (2 bags worth) and storing some for awhile I am convinced.  I think this will be the ticket for hobbyists that are still on the learning curve with eggs.  The number one question I have heard over the years is “how do I mix my egg box medium”.  Now you don’t have to.  Easy enough, right?  We will have some on hand in White Plains if you need it.

We are packing up the trailer for White Plains NY a bit early.  Don’t feel like doing it Thanksgiving week so I guess I will have some time on my hands next week.  Not a bad thing I guess.  Also looks like Frank will be heading up to Hamburg the following week with a bunch of animals so if any of you need a pickup arranged there let me know and we will get you set up.
